The secret of getting ahead is getting started. The secret of getting started is breaking your complex, overwhelming tasks into small manageable tasks, and then starting on the first one. ~Mark Twain
Post Boot Camp, my office usually looks like a cyclone hit it, and this time was no exception. I was filing, storing, and just generally cleaning up, and decided to tackle the reorganization of my bookshelves while I was at it.
I’d like to tell you that I was able to put together a big box of books to take to my local library for their annual book sale, but it’s impossible for me to part with any book that makes it into my collection. Mostly, that’s because each book is a gem, and I forget how valuable the information is until I pick it up again.
That’s what happened when I re-discovered The Ultimate Boomer Business Start-Up Guide by Jeff Williams of bizstarters.com. It’s a step-by-step manual for starting your business quickly (because you won’t leave out any crucial steps for success), making money, and – here’s the best part – having a lot of fun doing it.
It’s filled with action steps, planning workshops, and loads of useful money saving, service provider, management and technology tips. You’ll also find valuable internet resources, and frequent personal reflections culled from his personal experiences in launching three businesses, two of them after age 50.
I had the pleasure of meeting Jeff at a conference in Florida in 2007, and so I picked up the phone to reconnect. Jeff is truly an entrepreneur’s entrepreneur, and is always moving his business to the next level by providing what his clients want.
It didn’t surprise me, then, to discover the The Ultimate Boomer Business Start-Up Guide is now part of his “Do-It-Yourself Business Launch” package. The Start-Up Guide is a 222-page, spiral bound planning workbook. The package also includes a 76-page How To Management Guide binder, and a Business Blueprint CD that helps you organize your business plan into a highly readable narrative that you can easily revise as you go along.
This is good stuff, so from now on I’m recommending the “Do-It-Yourself Business Launch” to every new client who wants to start a business.
What will you need to succeed in your own business? The first two stories posted by Monday, July 13th, will each win a “Do-It-Yourself Business Launch” package valued at $197!*
